It’s time for another Weekend at the Museum event at Glenbow! These family-friendly events happen three times a year and are usually related to a special exhibition that’s happening at the museum. This month’s event is really special in that it ties in with Glenbow’s impressive permanent collections.
Your family will be able to explore the various cultures represented in Glenbow’s collection with the help of instructors from Sacred Fusion. There will be kids’ yoga sessions, African drumming, and hands-on activities inspired by contemporary Blackfoot culture. There will also be temporary tattoos, unconventional portraits and much more.
And, if you haven’t checked out Glenbow in a while, this is a great opportunity to see what’s new with this ever-evolving Calgary institution. This February Glenbow announced a new mandate to provide visitors with a new kind of art museum experience. The goal is to have more people experience art and culture more often, and this event is a perfect way to involve your family in that initiative.
Admission to Weekend at the Museum is free for Glenbow members or $32 for Family admission, which includes two adults and up to four youth. All activities, workshops and supplies are included with admission or membership.
