Set to the timeless sounds of Tchaikovsky and incorporating original songs, this 90-minute show follows those bunny siblings Max & Ruby as they prepare to see The Nutcracker ballet at the theatre with Grandma but are disappointed when a blizzard keeps them at home. Grandma comes to the rescue with a vivid reading of the Nutcracker in which the characters in the ballet come to life right before their eyes!
All our favorite party guests like the Spanish bullfighter, the Sugar Plum Fairy and the Nutcracker Prince make an appearance. Ruby is anxious to participate like Clara in their exquisite dance, but as always, it’s Max who steals the show! At the end of this stunning musical, Max & Ruby head off to bed with visions of sugar plums dancing in their heads!

My children love to see the Max and Ruby show. They always ask, “where’s the mommy and daddy?” LOL

My kids favorite episode is where Ruby and Max are trying to take the bus to Louise’s house. By the end of it Louise arrives via the bus to Max and Ruby’s.
We love the show and the books! I always tell my little guy Ruby reminds me of me being the oldest of 5 you just had to do a little bossing…LOL
The one where Max wants ice cream before breakfast and Ruby tells him no one eats ice cream before breakfast so, he goes off to find support.
I don’t recall the episode name but it had max picking apples from a tree with a ladder and Ruby being her not so nice self but in the end Max helped save the day despite his sister’s attempt to exclude him from the fun.
