SUPERTRAIN (Family Fun Calgary)The shriek of the train whistle, a wave from a cheerful conductor, and the romance of the rails — it all adds up to a love of trains! There’s something about the clackety-clack of a train that captures the imagination of everyone from the littlest tykes to their parents and grandparents. This April, it’s all aboard for the perfect family day with SUPERTRAIN, Canada’s biggest and best Model Train Show, organized by the Calgary Model Railway Society!

Saturday and Sunday, April 20 – 21, 2024, SUPERTRAIN will be at the Genesis Centre, with over 50,000 sq. ft. of operating model railroad layouts, Lionel, Lego and Thomas trains, model building demonstrations, historical associations, railroad art and photos, hobby shops, manufacturers, and much more. The Children’s Play Area will also have large Thomas and Lego tables – all waiting to be enjoyed and Iron Horse Park will be back with their free ride-on trains!

No matter who you are, you’ll find something here to appreciate. Past years have included all kinds of activities and excitement, like face painters, henna tattoo artists, and a children’s storybook reader. The many exhibitors will impress you with new exhibits, spectacular displays, and a fun, affordable day out for the whole family.

Indulge your train lover’s passion with a day on the (mini) rails and family fun activities for everyone this spring at SUPERTRAIN!
