Calgary is an ideal place for outdoor skating in the winter especially when a chinook rolls in and the temperature warms up.
There are a number of communities in Calgary which have volunteer run and maintained skating rinks. Calgary Area has a comprehensive list of them which can be found here. Please note, some of the communities listed may only allow members of the communities access to the their rinks or lakes. Double check before heading out if that is the case.
