There are many events going on in the city to commemorate Canada's 143rd birthday!
City of Calgary Canada Day Party
Where: Daytime: Prince's Island Park
When: 11 am to 5 pm
Three stages with live music and entertainments for all ages and interests.
Where: Evening: Olympic Plaza
When: 8 pm to 11:30 pm
Music, food and FIREWORKS! at 10:45 pm
Fort Calgary Canada Day Celebration
Where: Fort Calgary
When: 9 am to 4 pm
Free pancake breakfast starting at 9 am for the first 1000 people.
Family entertainment includes face painting, pony rides, bouncy castles and petting zoo. At 1 pm the Strathcona Mounted Troup will present the Musical Ride.
Dominion Day at Heritage Park
Where: Heritage Park
When: 9am to 5pm
Heritage Park celebrates Dominion Day with western entertainment and birthday cake. Pancake breakfast (free with admission for the first 2010 guests) in the Festival Tents between 9:30 and 10 am.
Millarville Races
Where: Millarville
When: 1 pm
This is the 104th running of the race. It includes concessions and kids races.
Movie in the Park
Where: Town of Chestermere John Peake Park
When: 7 pm
Enjoy an outdoor movie from the comfort of your picnic blanket or lawn chairs.
Canada Day Parade
Where: Airdrie Main Street
When: 10 am
Our Neighbour to the North holds an annual parade for Canada day. They also have other events throughout the day.
