Cochrane Lanes is a great little bowling centre tucked away on Railway Street in Cochrane. It’s one of our favourite spots to go bowling with our young kids despite being a bit of a trek from Calgary. It’s a great size, just 8 lanes of 5 pin bowling in a space where kids are always within eyeshot of parents even when they wander off to check out the arcade-style games and candy machines between turns.

A fun atmosphere with a few tables set up for parties.

We are pretty big fans of the bumpers along the sides so young ones don’t get frustrated by constant gutter balls as well as the ramps that help toddlers get the ball moving in a straight line.

Ramps make bowling a breeze for toddlers

Bumpers on the sides prevent gutter balls for younger bowlers

The ramps and bumpers even up the playing field so parents and kids can get pretty darn competitive.
