Frugal Yummy Mummy

It is sad to admit but sometimes I go out of the house and my son is better dressed than I am. Going from working full time to being a stay at home mom was a huge adjustment. I just did not have the extra cash to purchase a whole new wardrobe on a whim. Whatever clothing budget money I had seemed to always go towards a cute top for Evan or funky carpenter jeans and I stick with my old tank tops and sweats. You have heard the phrase that "clothing makes a man" I think we can broaden that and say that "clothing makes a woman feel powerful and sexy." So how can us moms dress fabulously on a budget?
I have found a couple of places where the deals are so great they deserve to be talked about.
Liquidation World
Liquidation World can be hit or miss for clothing and good quality household items but recently they received a shipment from Cold Water Creek and all items are $8.00 a piece. The gorgeous Christmas gown with a price tag of $150.00 was $8.00, the $80.00 garnet necklace was $8.00 and the $60.00 shoes were..you know it..$8.00.
All three locations received shipments but the location of MacLeod Trail received the biggest. Definately worth a visit.
Dots
Dots can be described as a smaller version of Winners but the deals are way better. The store is quite a bit smaller and generally only carries women's clothing but when there is a clearance sale, it is a clearance sale. I have seen Mexx silk tops go for $1.00. I recently saw a Kersh sweater at the Bay for $120.00 and the exact same sweater at Dots was going for $32.00.
Some of the clothing lines they carry are: Oxmo, Mac and Jack, Kensie, Jackpot, Kersh, and Mexx to name a few. If you get on their mailing list you can save an additional 20% - 30% off. Dots is in Westbrook Mall at the corner of 37th Steet SW and Bow Trail.
